STATISTICS BOTSWANA DONATES: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, Statistics Botswana handed Ten (10) computers to Tewane Primary School on Thursday 2nd March 2017 at Tewane village in the Central district of Botswana.It was a joyful day and event for the community of Tewane. Village elders, parents and students came in large numbers to partake in the handing over ceremony at the school grounds. Handing over the donation on behalf of Statistics Botswana, Ms Lillian Setimela the Manager for Communication, Documentation and Dissemination, emphasized the importance of computers in the modern day education system and urged the school management and students to take good care of the computers for them to be beneficial for a long time. Mr Gabaikanngwe,Tewane Primary School Head Master was very pleased to receive the computers.He said the school was in need of the computers, and informed the audience that the school did not have a single computer even for the administration block before this donation. He also said that the school believes the donation will help them achieve academic excellence as the teachers will from this point on become more efficient and productive in delivery of their services to students.
